Tim Cook – de CEO van Apple – was half januari 2016 op bezoek bij de paus. Bovenstaand rooster werd op Twitter geplaatst door Carol Glatz. Glatz is een journalist voor de New Catholic Reporter.

Meeting

Het gebeurde allemaal om half twaalf 22 januari 2016. Zo blijkt uit bovenstaand gelekt rooster. Daar zien wij de meeting gepland staat met ‘Il Signor Timothy Donald Cook, Amministratore Delegato di Apple’.

Boodschap

Veel van de meeting is niet naar buiten gekomen. In een boodschap voor ‘World day of social communications’ – dit is een viering van de katholieke kerk – was de Paus welzeker positief over het internet en alle bijbehorende apps en social media. Deze boodschap kwam naar buiten op het moment dat hij Tim Cook op bezoek had.

A Google+ hangout last year put the pope in front of a webcam and allowed him to answer questions from children around the world. The pope also tweets and has been happy to indulge quite a few visitors to the Vatican on selfie requests.
